THE XTREME FIGHTING TOURNAMENT!!

DIMENSIONAL VOID #26381

In this place, there was infinite nothing. Void was a good name for it, as
nothing, not even gasses existed here. Hard to believe that in a few short
days, it would be bustling with life.

In one place, light began to shine, and then take the shape of a large
globe. This globe then spewed out two humans, who landed in a heap onto an
invisible floor.

"Ow! Hey, man, you need to fix the landing.” said the older one. He looked
to be in his late forties.

"It'll fix itself once we make this place livable." replied the younger one,
who was obviously in his late teens. They stood, and looked around the vast
void.

"Is this what you call a "fixer upper," Dave?"

"Listen, Dan.,” said the young one, now identified as Dave. [Ain't that
convenient?] "All we need to do is follow the instructions in "Creating
pocket universes for dummies" and we're all set."

"Is it really going to be that simple?" asked Dan.

"Sure, no problem." And with that, Dave fell into an invisible hole. "Okay,
so we may have a few problems."

DIMENSIONAL VIOD #26381, NOW KNOW AS "XTREME FIGHTING TOURNAMENT" WORLD

"Extreme Fighting tournament? Can't you think of anything more original?"

"Can't you?" Dave asked. There was no answer. "That's what I thought."

The vast void that once dominated the area was gone, replaced by a small
planet. This planet was covered entirely in water, except one island. On the
island were two buildings, with a small footpath connecting them. One was
the coliseum, a huge dome-like structure with an open roof. The other was
the hotel, which also held the bar, and the teleporter for receiving various
people and cargo. Dave and Dan were in the announcers booth/control room,
going over the equipment.

"Remind me what we're doing." said Dan.

"Haven’t I gone over it enough?"

"Well, yes," Dan said, "but we haven’t told the readers yet."

"Oooh, right." Dave said, snapping his fingers. "Well, it's like this. We
invite fighters from many different universes to take part in a tournament.
We broadcast the tournament all throughout the universes, and make an
obscene amount of money doing so."

"What you haven’t told me is how we're going to get these fighters
together."

"That's simple." Dave replied. "With this." Dave pulled out a small oil lamp
from a steel box sitting in the corner. "Genie...COME FORTH!" Dave rubbed
the lamp three times and waited. Nothing happened.

"Err...lets try this again." Dave rubbed the lamp harder this time. Still
nothing happened. "Dammitt! Get out here you damn drunk!" Dave slammed the
lamp onto a nearby table, causing a *very* drunk genie to pop out and land
in a heap on the floor.

"Gene, it's time to admit you have a problem."

"You mean he's Gene the genie?" Dan asked incredulously.

"*Hic* Whazzup, Boss?"

"Gene, get on the damn wagon." Dave said.

"*Hic* I can kwit any-tahm ah want." Gene said between sips from a hip
flask.

"Well, lets just see about that." Dave said, as he snatched away the flask.

"Well, fine, I got the will power... the will, uuuuh...power..." Gene then
jumped up and grabbed the flask, downed it in one gulp, and began cradling
the empty flask. "Oooh, don't ever leave me again, you naughty, naughty
girl."

Dave sighed. "Back in the lamp, Gene." After Gene did so, Dan didn't stop
laughing for three minutes.

"So [hehehe] what heheheHAHAHA is your plan...?"

"Well, smartass," Dave said, "I'm going to say in the invitation that the
winner gets one wish. Whatever they want."

"Don't genies grant three wishes?"

"Yes, but I'm not giving a genie to just anyone."

"If you’re so concerned with money, why don't you just wish for it?" Dan
asked.

"I don't give a shit about money," Dave replied, "This is about me living my
dream."

"Well, cool with me. Sounds like fun." Dan said. A buzzer went off, and Dave
went to a monitor and hit a switch.

"Wait here, Dan, some of the staff just showed up." Dave walked out into the
hallway, and minutes later called Dan into the meeting room. When Dan walked
in, he saw four women in robotic suits standing with their helmets off, and
four other heavily armed people sitting in chairs.

"Dan, let me introduce you to our security team. They," Dave said, motioning
towards the women in the suits, "are Sylia, Priss, Nene, and Linna, also
known as the Knight Sabers in their world. The others" he said motioning
towards the people sitting in the chairs, "are Hana Tsu-Vachel, Royce Glas,
Rain Qin, and Jakob "Deke" DeCourt, who are mercenaries."

"You remember the deal, right mate?" asked Deke.

"Yep. Free room and board, food, drinks, and penthouse rooms for all of you
for a week." Dave handed them each a room key.

"Well, ladies, how about we go get a drink?" Deke said to the Knight Sabers.

"Sorry, we have unpacking to do." said Priss coldly, as they left the room.

"Ya get points for bravery Deke." Royce said smirking.

"Ah, they'll warm up. They always do." Deke replied.

"No offense, Deke, but they're *way* out of your league."

"Says you, Rain." Deke said as they took their argument into the hallway.

"Why do we need security?" Dan asked.

"Well, we are dealing with some of the most powerful fighters in the known
universes, and I have a genie, which may draw some dangerous people."

"But we're going to be safe, right Dave?"

"Of coarse! What could possibly go wrong? Don't answer that."
